Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Barrow/NW

Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive salary + Car/Car Allowance + Flexible Benefits

Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our team on a project based in Barrow. You will manage the project commercial team, advise on risks and opportunities, and support contract reviews. The role is permanent with NG Bailey, lasting approximately 2 years with potential for further work. Consideration is also given to Senior Quantity Surveyor candidates.

Please note that candidates must be able to obtain security clearance; only British nationals can be considered.

Key responsibilities include:

• Promote safety culture
• Manage project risk and opportunity schedules
• Implement mitigation measures
• Lead the commercial team
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors
• Negotiate contract terms and final accounts
• Attend contract reviews and ensure cost accuracy
• Assist with business plans and accounts
• Monitor commercial performance
• Prepare commercial plans and manage contractual obligations
• Handle payment applications and ensure timely receipt
• Manage subcontracts

Requirements:

• Experience in construction project commercial management
• Knowledge of NEC contracts (preferred)
• Experience managing a team
