Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Barrow/NW

Type: Permanent

Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our team on a project based in Barrow. You will manage the project commercial team, advise on risks and opportunities, support regional management accounts, and contribute to contract reviews. The position is permanent with NG Bailey, with a project duration of approximately 2 years, with potential for further work.

We are also open to considering candidates at Senior Quantity Surveyor level. Please note, candidates must be able to obtain security clearance; only British nationals will be considered.

Key responsibilities include:

• Promote safety first in all activities.
• Maintain accurate project risk and opportunity schedules.
• Manage mitigation measures and report outcomes.
• Lead and motivate the commercial team.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors; negotiate contract terms.
• Attend contract reviews; ensure cost accuracy and forecasts.
• Assist with business plans and management accounts.
• Monitor commercial performance and manage subcontracts.

Requirements:
