Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Barrow/NW

Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive salary + Car/Car Allowance + Flexible Benefits

Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our team on a project based on site in Barrow. The role involves managing the project commercial team, advising on risks and opportunities, and supporting contract reviews. The position is permanent with NG Bailey, with a project duration of approximately 2 years, potentially longer.

We are also open to considering candidates at Senior Quantity Surveyor level. Candidates must be able to obtain security clearance; therefore, only British nationals can be considered.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting safety in all activities.
  • Ensuring accuracy of project risk and opportunity schedules.
  • Managing mitigation measures and reporting.
  • Leading the commercial team.
  • Building relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Negotiating contract terms and final accounts.
  • Attending contract reviews and ensuring cost accuracy.
  • Assisting with business plans and management accounts.
  • Monitoring project commercial performance.
  • Preparing commercial plans and managing subcontractor agreements.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing construction project commercial performance.
  • Experience with NEC contracts preferred.
  • Leadership experience.
