Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Barrow/NW

Type: Permanent

Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our team on a project based on site in Barrow. The role involves managing the project commercial team, advising on risks and opportunities, and supporting regional management accounts and contract reviews. This is a permanent position with NG Bailey, with a project duration of approximately 2 years, with potential for further work.

We are also considering candidates at Senior Quantity Surveyor level. Candidates must be able to obtain security clearance; therefore, only British nationals will be considered.

Key responsibilities include:

• Promoting safety in all activities.
• Managing project risk and opportunity schedules, identifying measures to protect and improve profitability.
• Leading the commercial team and building beneficial relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Negotiating contract terms and valuations.
• Ensuring accurate forecasting and cost management.
• Supporting business planning and account management.
• Overseeing subcontract commercial aspects.

Requirements:
