Commercial Manager

£50,000 - £80,000 + Car Allowance + Project Bonus + Package

Commercial D&B Office Fitout Contractor

Birmingham, West Midlands

New region of an SME business with turnover currently at £15m.

The Role

1. Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement.
2. Work within established commercial and operations team in preparation of competitive tender offers.
3. Undertake site visits to establish and verify asset information provided as part of the tender documentation.
4. Undertake a full analysis of tender returns received during the tender process.
5. Attend start-up pre-price and price meetings.
6. Project locations across the UK.
7. A sound knowledge and understanding of JCT/D&B contracts, and demonstrable experience of running interior fit out works contracts is preferable.
8. Typically, the role will involve the management of multiple contracts concurrently, so the ability to manage time efficiently is critical.
9. Previous experience of working on construction contracts is useful, though not essential.
10. Ability to review contracts, contract amendments, and identify risks to the business is useful.
11. Methodical and well-organised approach to financial management of the project(s).
12. Internal handover with sales and operation.
13. Procurement of subcontract packages - LPM / Labour only / materials supply.
