ALF Recruit Limited and a growing Rochdale-based construction business are seeking a Commercial Manager. This role suits a Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to take on broader responsibility and lead commercial performance across projects, working closely with Directors.

You will be office-based with site visits, overseeing CVRs, valuations, variations and final accounts, and helping shape the commercial function as the business expands.

Qualifikationen

• Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to progress into Commercial Management.
• Background in civil engineering, groundworks, industrial/commercial construction, steel frame developments or external works.
• Experience taking commercial ownership of multiple live projects.
• Strong knowledge of CVRs, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Experience with JCT contracts; NEC knowledge beneficial.
• Sound commercial judgement and cost control abilities.

Aufgaben

• Manage the commercial performance of multiple live projects.
• Produce CVRs, commercial reports and profitability analysis.
• Manage applications for payment, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Oversee procurement and subcontractor negotiations.
• Review tender opportunities and pricing decisions.
• Work with operations to control costs and protect margins.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Visit sites to monitor progress and address commercial matters.
• Improve commercial processes as the business grows.
• Provide Directors with visibility of project performance, risks and opportunities.
