Job summary

Pinnacle Recruitment is seeking a Commercial Manager for a major Civil Engineering depot project in the South West. The role requires working knowledge of the Rail industry and experience with major contract forms, including NEC/NECS, to lead commercial activities.

You will oversee cost management, forecasts, CV systems, and financial reporting, while liaising with clients and stakeholders to manage changes and risks across the programme.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified; ideally RICS or ICES member.
• Experience with major forms of contract; NEC/NECS knowledge.
• Senior commercial leadership of Rail/Civil Engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of Rail sector from project experience.
• Demonstrated claims production, negotiation and adjudication knowledge.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial processes, including contract analysis and risk management.

We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to work for a major civil engineering contractor on a 40m Depot project within the South West. The position requires a working knowledge of the Rail industry, coupled with the experience of using the major forms of contract and demonstrable understanding of Major Projects.

Your key responsibilities

• Commercial Lead for the project
• Provide support and advice to commercial and project management teams
• Efficiently manage of all financial functions including;– Cost management of project– Forecast cost to completion– Management of CV systems– Financial reporting
• Liaise with client and stakeholders on all commercial matters
• Management of change control

What we are looking for

• Degree qualified, ideally RICS or ICES member
