Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is partnering with an ambitious engineering start-up in Bristol to recruit a Business Operations Manager. The role reports to the CEO and focuses on commercial operations, client follow-ups, and strategic project coordination to drive growth.

You will manage the sales pipeline, draft proposals, coordinate visits, and oversee daily operations across the HQ with a Monday–Friday schedule and flexible working options.

Are you a Commercial Manager or similar with an operational management background, looking for a brand-new role with an ambitious engineering start-up, who are looking to expand their portfolio and have huge expansion plans, they offer long-term progression pathways, share options and an autonomous and varied role to make your own?

This company are in the development stages of producing a market-changing product for the industrial, energy and aerospace sectors. Since its conception in 2018, it has gone from strength to strength winning government contracts and have now received more funding to help them take the next step in their expansion. They are now undertaking another wave of new product development and are looking for someone to assist the CEO with the commercial operations of the business.

This autonomous role, will see you report directly into the CEO and be his right hand man, you will progress opportunities, following up with clients in the sales pipeline, draft proposols, co-ordinate customer visits, assist on project plans and grant writing as well as general operational oversight of the staff in the HQ. This is a Monday to Friday position, with some flexibility included.

This role would suit a Commercial Manager, with an operations background, looking to work for an ambitious start-up who have exciting plans and long-term opportunities to progress into senior directorship.

The Role:

• Progress opportunities and customer follow-ups.
• Managing sales pipeline, coordinating visits and meetings
• Writing proposals, project planning and bid writing
• General reporting, operational oversight and problem solving
• Monday to Friday - 40 hour week, flexible working

THE PERSON:

• Commercial Manager or similar
• Background working in commercial, operations or sales environment
• Commutable to Bristol
