The Opportunity :
The Contract Manager is responsible for performing contract management work within an integrated workforce. They must have in-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. They will provide detailed technical, professional, and policy advice related to product sustainment and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development.
The Contract Manager will exercise independence and leadership, making sound decisions and judgments to provide expert policy advice. They are responsible for developing, implementing, ensuring compliance with, and reviewing policies and procedures related to contract management. They will handle complex problem-solving and issues management, potentially coordinating detailed or sensitive projects impacting strategic, political, or operational outcomes.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Melbourne. Interstate applicants may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The role requires an active AGSVA NV1 clearance at commencement, with a willingness to upgrade to NV2.
