The project:

The project is located on the Whiteknights campus of The University of Reading, involving a new Net Zero Carbon building funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology through the Government Property Agency. This building will serve as the headquarters for ECMWF, an intergovernmental organization supported by 35 states, providing research and weather prediction services. The facility will include workspaces, a conference center, a council chamber, a restaurant/canteen, a gym, a weather room, an atrium, and support functions.

You’ll need to have:

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience in subcontract profit and loss reporting.
  • Skills in establishing cost control systems and leading value engineering.
  • Ability to prepare monthly reports and organize effectively.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem-solving capabilities and adaptability.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent). CSCS certification.

You’ll also have:

  • Experience with Contract Management, including JCT contracts.
  • Ability to manage complex technical tasks and build client relationships.
  • Leadership qualities and a high-performance mindset.
  • Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent).
