Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking a Commercial Manager – Architectural Glazing to lead commercial delivery on glazing project packages across London. Based in Cambridgeshire with hybrid flexibility, the role covers projects up to £7m, negotiating contracts, managing risk, and ensuring programme, quality and contractual compliance.

Ideal candidates will have Commercial Management or QS experience in glazing/facades, knowledge of JCT/NEC, and strong IT and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Must have Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying experience with architectural glazing systems/facades.
• Related construction management degree preferred.
• Sound knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts.
• IT literate (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Visit sites across London to oversee project delivery and ensure on-time progress, quality and contractual compliance.
• Negotiate contracts, perform risk reviews and clarify financial impacts for all parties.
• Assist project management and directors in delivering commercial glazing projects worth up to £7m.
• Respond to delays and issues during construction and monitor progress.

The role of the Commercial Manager – Architectural Glazing will involve:

• Commercial Manager position dealing with various architectural glazing systems
• Requirement to visit sites and projects across London to oversee project delivery and works are progressing to programme, quality and contractual requirements.
• Negotiating contracts, performing risk reviews, ensuring financial aspects and impact
• of the contract are clear to all parties
• Strategically expand, preserve or improve company procedures, standards (including ISO 9001:2015) or policies whilst adhering to regulatory guidelines

• Assist the project management team and directors in the delivery of all commercial structural glazing projects
• Responding to delays and any issues that may arise during construction phase
• Monitoring the projects and making assessments about the progressWorking on projects in value of up to £7m

The ideal applicant will be Commercial Manager – Architectural Glazing with:

• Must have Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying experience with architectural glazing systems, facades or a closely related building envelope product/system
• Highly advantageous to possess a related construction management degree
• Sound working knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Strong negotiation, time management, and organisation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
