Due to significant growth, we now have two new openings for experienced Commercial Managers based in Ruislip and Swindon. The role involves managing daily utility contracting applications, providing insights during all pre- and post-contract commercial activities to ensure clear and accurate reporting of OCU Services' financial and contractual positions.

We are looking for a results-oriented Commercial Manager with accountability, commercial awareness, and experience in large utility, civil engineering, or power projects. We value how you achieve results as much as the results themselves.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing the supply chain and resources within commercial and operational parameters for projects of varying size.
2. Leading a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff.
3. Monitoring and reporting on cash flow, revenue, and costs across all centers, forecasting trends, and facilitating management interventions.
4. Managing change processes and early dispute resolution.
5. Overseeing contract financials, including invoices, works in progress, accruals, debts, retentions, and cash flows.
6. Providing accurate management reports.
7. Closing out commercial activities at contract end, including final account settlements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in utility/civil engineering contracting, preferably with a utility subcontractor.
• Previous leadership experience in a commercial role.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• High discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent time management and proficiency in MS Office.
• Full UK Driving License.
• RICS membership is desirable but not essential.
