Job description

Are you ready to lead and influence how contracts deliver value, performance and innovation in a dynamic housing environment?

Bromford, part of Bromford Flagship, is seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team and play a key role in maximising the value of our supplier relationships while ensuring robust contract compliance and continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our commercial strategy and deliver measurable results across high-value contracts.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing key supplier partnerships across the business, ensuring that all contractual terms, service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are not only met but exceeded. You’ll work closely with the senior supplier relationship lead to develop and implement commercial and category plans that enhance value for money, reduce cost and improve supplier performance. Through strategic thinking and expert commercial oversight, you will help build a more resilient, efficient and innovative supply chain.

Leading a team of commercial colleagues, you’ll collaborate with teams across service delivery and home investment to identify procurement and product synergies, manage central agreements and contracts, and ensure our commercial operations reflect best practice. You’ll analyse spend and performance data, review supplier management information, and provide regular reports to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment at every level. With your finger on the pulse of current and emerging trends in procurement and housing, you’ll drive operational excellence and influence meaningful change.

This role is permanent and full time. You can be based from either of our offices in Tewkesbury or Chipping Sodbury, with regular travel required across the region.

You will have:

  • Experience in a similar commercial manager role, or at the level of senior surveyor
  • A strong background in national housebuilding, with knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health and Safety requirements
  • Experience of effectively managing multiple schemes, suppliers and high value contracts
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • An understanding of housing repairs and planned maintenance
  • An articulate and confidence approach to engaging and communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
  • The ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • A desire to progress your career with one of the top housing associations in the country

A basic DBS check will be required, as will a full UK driving licence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation with a social purpose, where your work will directly contribute to better outcomes for our customers. If you’re ready to step into a pivotal role and make a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Closing date is 22nd August 2025, and first stage interviews will take place 27th - 29th August 2025.
