Job description

Commercial Manager / Operations Manager required to join a global, market leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful Commercial Manager / Operations Manager shall be responsible for delivering commercial / operational strength across the board for flow control related products such as valves, actuators, regulators, filters, hydraulics, pneumatics and related mechanical engineering products.


The Commercial Manager / Operations Manager should have a proven background in implementing operational strategy and continuous improvement to improve efficiency, quality and productivity. Any knowledge of the Defence industry would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver commercial / operational strength across the board for flow control related products such as valves, actuators, regulators, filters, hydraulics, pneumatics and related mechanical engineering products.
  • Review, interpret, and negotiate sales and service contracts for all products and services within industries such as defence, hydrogen, industrial gas and similar industrial engineering markets.
  • Oversee daily operations, implementing strategic processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and turnaround times.
  • Align sales strategies with company goals and objectives in collaboration with the UK Managing Director.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Must be commutable to the office daily near Slough.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience as an Operations Manager / Sales Manager / Commercial Manager / Engineering Manager / Sales Operations Manager / Operations Supervisor / General Manager or similar within an engineering environment, ideally within the defence market or oil & gas market.
  • Proven background implementing operational strategy to improve efficiency, quality and productivity.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a demonstrated capability to inspire and drive a team.
  • Ideally come from a mechanical engineering background with preference to those from a manufacturing environment. Any existing knowledge of the Defence industry would be beneficial.
  • Must be commutable to the office near Slough or willing to relocate.
