Job Description

Danny Sullivan Group is currently looking for a Commercial Manager for a role available with a utilities contractor working on large-scale frameworks.

As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of major utilities and power infrastructure projects. You will lead commercial teams, ensuring that all contracts are delivered in line with company policies, client requirements, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the commercial and contractual management of power and utilities projects in Ruislip.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff.
  3. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and compliance.
  4. Negotiate contracts, variations, and claims with clients and subcontractors.
  5. Provide strategic commercial advice to the project delivery team.
  6. Ensure adherence to risk management, governance, and compliance processes.
  7. Maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the utilities, power, or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline (but not essential).
  • Strong financial and contractual acumen with a track record of managing complex projects.
