We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our expanding Architectural Metalwork business in our brand-new, state-of-the-art office - complete with a built-in gym! Our team thrives in a dynamic, friendly atmosphere, and we are looking for a commercially astute professional to help drive our projects to success.

As a leading subcontractor in the architectural and structural metalwork industry, we work on a variety of high-profile projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong commercial background in construction to manage contracts, oversee financial performance, and drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with Directors and Project Teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Oversee all commercial aspects of contracts, from tender to completion.

Prepare and manage monthly payment applications in line with contractual deadlines.

Review and approve payment certificates, collaborating with the Accounts team.

Lead final account negotiations, ensuring timely closure.

Prepare and present monthly Cost-Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports.

Assess and manage variations, ensuring proper contract notifications.

Oversee subcontractor accounts, including issuing payment certificates and payless notices.

Identify and mitigate business risks by strategically managing subcontractor procurement.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor role.

Strong contractual and financial management expertise.

In-depth understanding of the construction and architectural metalwork industry.

Experience in NEC and JCT contracts preferred.

Track record of managing subcontract procurement and specialist packages.

Full UK Driving License.
