Job Description

Company: Ultra Intelligence & Communications

Location: Maidenhead, at our Cyber Centre of Excellence, with a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of 2 days on-site per week.

At Ultra I&C's Cyber division, we protect highly sensitive information, working globally with nations to secure their data. Our engineers tackle complex cybersecurity challenges to safeguard national security and critical infrastructure.

As a member of our Commercial Team, you will support profitable business delivery, providing commercial support and governance, ensuring contracts with customers and suppliers are on protective terms.

IMPORTANT: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain SC level security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage commercial and contractual interface for selected contracts
  • Contribute to bid and proposal development, approval, and issuance
  • Identify commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Communicate contractual obligations to project teams
  • Resolve commercial issues effectively
  • Support contract change management processes
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Support commercial team activities and develop policies
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience reviewing complex contracts
  • Understanding of contract law
  • Background in Defence, Aerospace, or similar
  • Experience in customer and supplier roles
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify contractual risks
  • Effective communication skills
  • Teamwork and self-motivation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant software

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of export control regulations
  • Procurement experience
Qualifications:
  • Degree in law, economics, business, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., WCC, CIPS)
