Collaborating with a diverse team of 1,500 active suppliers from 19 countries, you will leverage your expertise to create procurement strategies that maximise value, minimise risk, and drive operational excellence.



Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Manager

  • Lead and influence the strategic sourcing activities for large-value, complex spend areas to align with the company's broader objectives and market strategies.
  • Ensure innovative delivery sourcing, procurement, implementation, and contract management with a commercially sensible approach to add value.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage contracts and supplier relationships, maximising commercial and contractual benefits.
  • Support and maintain all necessary processes for supplier management, claims management, benefits and savings, and continuous improvement targets.
  • Improve passenger service with consideration of accessibility, ease of experience, and sustainable offerings.


Qualifications and Experience

To excel as the Commercial Manager, you will need:

  • A professional qualification (MRICS, CIPS, APM, CEng) or a willingness to pursue one.
  • Demonstrable commercial and contract management experience (pre and post-contract).
  • Experience in a variety of construction-based contract environments, ideally in NEC-based contract environments, using a range of reimbursement models.
  • Evidence of project delivery to meet business affordability targets.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders/suppliers.
