The ClearScore Commercial Team is responsible for monetising the ClearScore platform through B2B partnerships with over 50 of the biggest and most innovative financial service providers in the UK. ClearScore is searching for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team, leading the loans vertical.

The Commercial Manager will drive revenue performance and be responsible for managing and monetising lender partnerships. This is a highly cross-functional, fast-paced role requiring problem-solving, idea generation, and collaboration across teams to capitalise on commercial opportunities. You will act as the voice of the partner, providing market expertise to internal and external stakeholders, bringing an analytical mindset, entrepreneurial attitude, consultative approach, and proactivity.

The Commercial Manager will support the Head of Commercial Performance by managing a pipeline of projects and strategic partnerships within our core verticals.

What will you do:

  • Manage the Loans vertical for the UK business and ensure we meet the budget and plan for the year.
  • Be accountable for all performance metrics related to loans partnerships and increasing ClearScore’s Share of Wallet.
  • Create and execute a commercial strategy across the vertical to maintain competitiveness and position as the partner’s number one choice for acquisition.
  • Collaborate with the product team and partners to optimise the product and conversion funnel, managing relationships with existing partners and negotiating deals with new ones.
  • Analyze platform data to derive insights, produce reports, identify trends, and implement actions to benefit users and partners.
  • Oversee the performance and daily management of a team of two commercial executives supporting the vertical.

You're a fit for the role if you present most of the following:

  • At least 5 years of work experience with a strong track record in both professional and academic settings.
  • Previous experience in a commercial role within financial services is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for solving relevant problems, with creativity and initiative.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and readiness to take on responsibility quickly.
  • Experience with data-driven decision making is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant experience in management consulting, client-facing environments such as partner or account management, or in consumer finance, fintech, or B2B tech companies.
