The Commercial Function is responsible for the overall commercial risk framework related to client (sales) deals, contracts end-to-end, including third parties and suppliers.

Job Description

The Commercial Function oversees the commercial risk framework for client deals and contracts, managing third-party and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Support commercial activities for Programme/Transformation projects, ensuring deal clarity and aligned supply chain contracts.
  • Draft and amend client and supplier contracts, establishing new agreements as needed for the Programme.
  • Manage Fixed Price implementation activities, collaborating with the Programme team to meet milestones, communicate risks, and manage scope/cost changes.
  • Ensure supply chain delivery aligns with requirements and budget.
  • Participate in governance meetings and client discussions on commercial matters.
  • Govern and approve contracts and variations in line with Capita policy.
  • Identify, manage, and report commercial and legal risks, liaising with Legal as necessary.
  • Support and advise on commercial disputes, leading settlement negotiations.

About You

  • Experienced in bidding, negotiating, and managing significant sales and supplier contracts.
  • Proven track record in contract ownership and delivery, with strong governance skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to influence at all organizational levels.
  • A leader and influencer within the business and Commercial function.
