A leading waste management company in the UK seeks a Commercial Manager. The role involves managing budgets, client relationships, and ensuring compliance. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the business unit's budget, focusing on cost control and profitability. You will oversee key client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and contribute innovative ideas to secure new business. Your role involves analyzing data, preparing insightful reports to identify cost savings and profit opportunities, staying updated on regulatory changes, and leading bids and negotiations for contractors involved in the Hinkley Point C project.
You will supervise the site administration team, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Collaborating closely with the Operations Manager, you will ensure the timely, on-budget, and high-standard delivery of the Waste Contract at Hinkley Point C.
Join us in a landmark project at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station. Biffa's Specialist Services Industrial Division has secured the waste management contract for this major development in Suffolk, which is expected to last 9 to 12 years. Initially, our team will manage the contract directly from the client's site, overseeing collections, subcontractors, reporting, invoicing, and waste consultancy, with operations eventually moving to a purpose-built Waste Consolidation Centre.
