Job summary

Civica UK Ltd is seeking a Commercial Manager to support bids, tenders and contract negotiations across Civica’s software portfolio in a UK government/public sector context.

You will manage commercial risks, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and collaborate with Sales, Delivery and Commercial teams to drive profitable outcomes. Aminimum salary is £50,100 per year, with scope for progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a commercial contracts role with knowledge of contract law.
• Experience with government frameworks, ideally in software/ public sector environments.
• Strong financial literacy to interpret payment profiles, margins and costs.
• Collaborative and outcome‑focused, able to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of SaaS licensing models; experience with CLM tools or Salesforce is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial Business Partners with bids and tenders, including commercial reviews and contract negotiations.
• Ensure contracts comply with internal policies, legal requirements and public sector regulations.
• Identify and manage commercial risks, escalating issues as needed.
• Produce reporting on commercial activities, risks and issues for informed decision‑making.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial processes and controls.
