Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to support the delivery of a major hospital transformation programme encompassing both construction and digital infrastructure. This role requires hands-on commercial leadership, deep NEC4 contract knowledge, and the ability to work across a wide range of stakeholders and workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead commercial management across the programme, ensuring value for money and contractual compliance.

Oversee and manage NEC4 contracts (Options C & E), ensuring optimal outcomes.

Collaborate with design, construction, and digital teams to support full transformation.

Maintain oversight of the cost consultant to ensure funding requirements are met.

Manage risk and opportunity across the programme.

Deliver robust commercial reporting and insight to drive performance.

Support procurement strategy and implementation where needed.

Coordinate KPI and data management activities.

Promote strong supplier relations and ensure delivery-focused engagement.

Contribute to carbon estimation and BIM-related commercial tasks.

Requirements:

Proven experience in commercial management on large-scale infrastructure or healthcare projects.

Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (particularly Options C & E).

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Hands-on and proactive approach to contract and cost management.

Understanding of digital transformation in a construction environment.

Experience with BIM, carbon estimation, and procurement desirable.

Competent in data and KPI reporting for performance management.
