A leading company in the East Midlands seeks an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee a commercial team and manage NEC3 contracts. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a commercial role, ideally with a background in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role.
  • Full valid UK Driving License, travel to client sites may be required.

  • Management of a commercial team, including contract negotiation and reporting.
  • Full contract administration of NEC3 contracts.
  • Cost Value Reconciliations and monthly forecasting.

Job description

  • Weekly P&L development, liaising with the Commercial and Finance Director to ensure P&L are accurately reported
  • Full contract administration of the NEC3 contracts
  • Procurement of subcontract resource, materials and equipment
  • Cost Value Reconciliations
  • Management of AFPs to the client and assessment of AFPs for Subcontractors
  • Forecasting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • General team development ad continuous improvement


Key Requirements for this Commercial Manager role:

  • 10+ years of experience in a commercial role, ideally a background in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role
  • BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • FTTx experience highly desirable, would consider individuals with wider utilities experience
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships upstream (clients) and downstream (subcontractors
  • IT Literacy, Microsoft office suite, MSP Project & Visio
  • Team leadership, experience managing and leading commercial teams
  • Experience working on NEC3/4 contract suite
  • Full valid UK Driving License, travel to client sites may be required
