We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. In this key role, you'll collaborate with contract teams and support functions to deliver effective commercial solutions. Your responsibilities include identifying and managing legal, financial, and commercial risks and opportunities to ensure smooth and successful contract operations.

This role goes beyond support. You'll act as a trusted advisor, problem-solver, and advocate for best practices. Your expertise in contract performance, variations, dispute resolution, and defect management will drive value and efficiency across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising contract teams on contract terms, liabilities, KPIs, and scope to mitigate risks and enhance performance.
• Maintaining and supporting risk and opportunity registers with actionable plans.
• Managing contract variations and change orders per contractual and internal policies.
• Supporting the Operations Director and Contract Manager with accurate contract data and insights.
• Preparing documentation for commercial reviews and escalating significant issues.
• Contributing to the development of internal systems and commercial processes.
• Ensuring governance and compliance for all commercial documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong background in commercial contract management.
• Proven experience in risk and opportunity management.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills for resolving complex issues.
• Knowledge of KPIs, payment mechanisms, and contract risk profiles.
• Experience with PFI contracts, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience managing challenging client relationships.
• Knowledge of defect management and settlement agreements.
• Experience drafting and reviewing variation and sub-contract agreements.
