Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates, tenders, and project budgets.
  • Monitoring project spend and implementing cost control measures.
  • Overseeing quality, Health & Safety, and project delivery standards.
  • Vetting, appointing, and managing subcontractors.
  • Conducting site visits and reporting on progress and financial performance.

I'm working on behalf of a leading restoration contractor who have built a strong reputation for setting exceptional standards within the heritage and conservation sector. With a solid client base, they deliver projects on Grade I and II listed buildings and properties of significant architectural and historical importance.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Commercial Manager / Senior Contracts Manager (QS background preferred) to oversee multiple restoration and external refurbishment projects across London.

Current projects include:

  • Slade School of Fine Art
  • Northington Grange
  • Imperial War Museum

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional who is passionate about heritage projects and wants to play a key role in a respected and expanding business.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in Construction, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in external refurbishment and restoration/conservation
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract management experience
  • Confident managing projects from start to completion, including financial control
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Experience mentoring junior members of the team
