Working Pattern:Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00 (With a mixture of working in the office, visitingbranches and working from home)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Commercial Manager to take the lead on our over-the-counter (OTC) retail offer. This is a key role focused on growing sales, improving margins, and helping us hit profit targets. You’ll manage pricing, promotions, and product ranges across our stores, work closely with suppliers, and support store teams to deliver great results. If you have a good understanding of how retail works, enjoy working with numbers and suppliers, and want to help shape the future of our OTC offer, this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take responsibility for the sales, margin and funding performance of our OTC retail range.
  • Review and manage product mix, pricing, and promotions to boost sales and profit.
  • Support stores with commercial plans and explain performance in simple terms.
  • Develop and deliver a plan for the OTC side of the business.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and business plans.
  • Share regular updates and performance reports with internal teams.
  • Listen to feedback from customers and store colleagues to improve our range.
  • Keep an eye on competitors and trends to find new opportunities.
  • Manage and support a small team to deliver the agreed plans.

What We’re Looking For

  • Commercial experience in retail, pharmacy, or similar environment.
  • Confident working with sales and profit figures.
  • Good at building relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Clear communicator who can explain things simply and effectively.
  • Positive attitude, organised, and able to work on your own initiative.
