Role overview

A key role in a successful global company. Sepura is a leading designer, developer, and provider of mission and business-critical communications equipment.

This is a challenging and stimulating role working across key functions, taking the lead in contract drafting and negotiation, as well as managing external legal counsel.

Applicants do not need experience in all areas but should demonstrate a solid track record of career progression through learning and self-development.

Main duties:

  • Oversee and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions, including instructing overseas advisors where necessary.
  • Draft, review, maintain, and manage the company's standard commercial contracts portfolio.
  • Negotiate acceptable terms in non-standard contracts, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Maintain understanding of UK and EU procurement and competition law to ensure compliance.
  • Negotiate IP licenses.
  • Coordinate with Bid Team and Product Strategy Group to produce technical papers supporting quotes.
  • Assess and address risks related to bids.
  • Support the Bid Team in writing tender responses, especially commercial aspects.
  • Build and maintain a library of tender responses, including case studies and reference materials.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete input for bids.
  • Work with senior management to define and recommend bid strategies.
  • Ensure bids comply with procedures and governance.
  • Support export license applications and liaise with government advisors.
  • Assist Finance with performance bonds, bank guarantees, and parent company guarantees.
  • Support the Purchasing Department in contracts with international suppliers.
  • Contribute to organizational activities as needed.
  • The role requires a valid passport and security clearance, which will involve background checks.
