We are now looking for a new Commercial Manager in Burnfoot, Ireland!

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will advise on all contractual and commercial aspects of key projects, involving liaison with customers, engineers, sub-contractors and other business units.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  • Legal, commercial and contract management of key projects from inception, through costing, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover to client.
  • Providing guidance to the project / technical teams, identifying legal and contractual problems areas with a constructive approach to resolution.
  • Assisting the project teams with ensuring that commercial contracts are monitored and maintained within the overall programme (including sub-contractor management).
  • Assisting the commercial team to ensure that all contractual entitlements are captured, submitted and resolved with customers.
  • Monitoring and reporting of project expenditure and cost control.
  • Handling contract variations and claims management.
  • Responsible for all financial and management aspects of the project.
  • Management of commercial team members.

What will make you successful?

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Strong legal contracting background with significant commercial focus.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Construction law qualification.
  • Proven working knowledge of construction claims, arbitration or adjudications.
  • Career relationship experience of large contracting organisations.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
