Qualifications

  • Ability to lead a commercial team of Quantity Surveyors, Cost Manager, Estimator and apprentices.
  • Experience in carrying out cost management activities, such as Cost Forecasting, Variation Control, and Cost Value Reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial and contractual aspects of projects.
  • Work closely with members of the Senior Management Team to ensure projects are on budget and programme.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients.

Job description

Kitchen Civils are currently looking to expand their commercial team in the Yorkshire region to help us deliver civil engineering and groundworks packages on budget and programme.

This role will require a mixture of office based work and site visits.

As a Commercial Manager at Kitchen Civils, we are looking for;

  • Ability to lead a commercial team of Quantity Surveyors, Cost Manager, Estimator and apprentices.
  • Ability to oversee all financial and contractual aspects of projects
  • Ensure financial detail for projects are understood, received and communicated to the wider construction team.
  • To be able to work closely with members of the Senior Management Team to ensure projects are on budget and programme
  • Experience in carrying our cost management activities, such as:- Cost Forecasting, Variation Control, Cost Value Reconciliation
  • Experience of maintaining effective contract management processes throughout a team of people
  • Have a collaborative approach to work, and be able to communicate and operate effectively within a fast paced delivery environment
  • Experience of managing and dealing with sub-contractor and supplier accounts
  • Be able to use and integrate into our construction management software.
  • Be able to maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients
  • Knowledge of civil engineering (beneficial)
