Job summary

Trace | Expert Accountancy & Finance Recruitment in Central London is seeking a Management Accountant (part-qualified) for a permanent role reporting to the Finance Director. The position covers month-end, reporting, supplier and client invoicing within an international project-based organisation.

The ideal candidate has at least four years of accounting experience, with practice exposure welcomed for a move into industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years' experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Experience preparing accounts through to trial balance, including month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts.
• Strong Excel and general accounting systems experience.
• AAT qualified, ACCA/ACA part-qualified, or equivalent practical accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts in line with the month-end timetable.
• Prepare supporting month-end packs and schedules for Finance Director review.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Post accruals, prepayments and month-end journals.
• Review trial balance and investigate unusual balances.
• Ensure ledgers and reconciliations are complete ahead of month-end close.
• Investigate and resolve monthly account queries.
• Oversee purchase ledger and supplier invoices processing.
• Manage client invoicing and cash collection.
• Support Finance Director with financial reporting and analysis.
