Job description

Sewell Wallis is partnering with a well-established multi-site manufacturer based in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, to recruit an Inventory Accountant.

In this role, you will be heavily involved in cost control, stock management, and gross margin analysis to drive efficiencies and support business decisions as a key business partner for the operations team and stakeholders.

This position requires a confident communicator who can influence and manage difficult conversations with stakeholders, working closely with the Operations & Sales teams.

The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach, and enjoys working with numbers. You will be required to visit manufacturing sites within 5 miles of each other, so a driving license is essential.

What will you be doing?

• Acting as a Finance Business Partner for supply chain, operations, sales, and customer service teams.
• Overseeing inventory turnover and stock optimisation.
• Managing stock control processes and producing inventory reports.
• Delivering margin and cost analysis.
• Preparing and presenting financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Overseeing management accounts and financial reporting for business units.
• Managing a team of two.
• Assisting with annual audits and improving financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
