Job description

Picerne Real Estate Group has been building and managing properties on a continuing basis since 1925. With 3 of Picerne leadership providing continued growth on a stage, pride of ownership is very important to our company. We are currently seeking a Commercial Maintenance Technician with proven skills for retail and office properties located in Cranston and Warwick, RI.

Our preference is to hire someone on a part-time basis to start (2-3 days per week), with the possibility to be full-time after a 4 to 6 month probationary period.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Travel between 20+ local properties as needed. Respond to inspect site issues/work orders as requested by Property Manager. Make minor repairs, including basic mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting as needed.
  • Demonstrate effective and exceptional communication skills for communicating with tenants, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Demonstrate ability to work alone and follow safety protocols.
  • Take initiative to suggest required property improvements.
  • Inspect grounds and pick up trash at properties. Inspect roofs, lighting, and HVAC systems regularly.
  • Meet with and give access to HVAC, fire alarm, electrical, and plumbing vendors when scheduled.
  • Manage janitorial vendors and janitorial supply inventory at office properties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Reliable vehicle to start, mileage will be paid, with possibility for company vehicle when full-time.
  • Background screenings required.
  • Part-time schedule is flexible, with hours between 7 AM and 4 PM Monday-Friday. Some on-call time is required for emergencies.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS PACKAGE (MANY BENEFITS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WHEN FULL-TIME):
  • $22 per hour to start
