DCT Recruitment is currently seeking a junior Commercial Litigation Solicitor (0-2 years PQE) to join our expanding Disputes team, based in either our Liverpool or Manchester office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and commercially aware solicitor to develop their career within a forward-thinking and dynamic legal practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, shareholder and partnership disagreements, warranty claims, and professional negligence cases.
- Support senior solicitors on complex and high-value disputes.
- Engage directly with clients, offering clear, concise, and commercially sound legal advice.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and instructions to counsel; attend court hearings where appropriate.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and strengthen client relationships through proactive engagement.
Requirements
- 0-2 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation (newly qualified solicitors with relevant training seats will be considered).
- Strong academic background with excellent technical legal skills.
- Confident communicator with a high standard of client care.
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage workload under pressure.
- Team-oriented approach with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
