We are seeking a commercially astute and motivated Commercial Litigation Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join our reputable and growing Litigation team based in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-quality caseload involving national and international clients, with a particular focus on complex, high-value civil and commercial litigation.

Role Overview

You will be handling a broad and diverse range of commercial litigation matters, many of which are high-value, high-profile, and often complex in nature. These matters will span across shareholder and partnership disputes, contractual breaches and professional negligence claims, insolvency-related litigation, civil fraud investigations and asset recovery actions, as well as cross-border enforcement issues and international disputes. You will work closely with a range of clients, from high-net-worth individuals and SMEs to large corporates and overseas entities, delivering strategic legal advice tailored to their commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of complex civil and commercial litigation matters
  • Oversee all stages of litigation, from instruction through to trial, appeal, or settlement
  • Provide strategic legal advice and representation in court, arbitration, and mediation
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence with clarity and precision
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Mentor junior solicitors and trainees, contributing to a collaborative team culture
  • Keep abreast of developments in litigation law, procedure, and commercial trends
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and represent the firm at industry events

Candidate Profile

  • UK-qualified Solicitor with 3+ years' post-qualification experience in commercial litigation
  • Strong litigation background with experience in shareholder disputes, insolvency, or multi-jurisdictional work
  • Confident advocate with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Pragmatic, commercially-minded, and solution-focused approach
  • Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients is advantageous
  • Strong organisational and client management skills
