Job Description:

Commercial Litigation Partner

This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the North's leading Disputes teams. You will be surrounded by leading Lawyers and gain exposure to engaging, complex work on behalf of a high-calibre client base.

The Firm

This reputable international law firm has gone from strength to strength throughout 2023 and 2024, with continued growth into 2025 forecasted and beyond. With headcount growth at 10% YOY and ambitious plans to build on this, it is a genuinely exciting time to join the firm with significant scope to progress.

The firm attracts an exceptionally high calibre of clients from HNW individuals to multinational PLCs.

Well-known for their culture, you will be part of a close-knit team that arrange regular social events, and all have the same ambitious and motivated personalities. Their culture, combined with the quality of work, has given them one of the best retention rates in the country; on average, lawyers typically stay with the firm for 5+ years, whilst the industry average is around 2 - 3 years.

As a previous winner of Working Families' 'Best UK Employer for Flexible Working Award', the firm is happy to consider flexible working opportunities to help you balance your work and home life. This practice sets reasonable targets for a firm of their size, giving you a fantastic option if you are looking to steer away from a KPI/high volume based environment.

The Role

This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Commercial Litigator (Partner or Legal Director) to join a growing top 30 international law firm.

Working closely alongside respected Partners nationally, you will gain exposure to complex and engaging Commercial Disputes matters. The quality of work is exceptional and will allow you to further develop your technical ability.

In this role, you will be working closely alongside the heavy-hitting roster of Commercial Litigators in Manchester. The team handles a broad range of matters including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, R&I, banking & finance, and more.

You will have significant support from the wider network of partners across 4-5 national offices.

Requirements

  • You will be a Commercial Litigation Partner with roughly 7+ years of PQE.
  • Comfortable building relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • An ambitious individual seeking career progression at one of Manchester's leading law firms.

Remuneration

  • Salary is competitive around market rate, with an excellent benefits package and bonus scheme.
