Job Opportunity: Commercial Disputes Resolution Associate

A top law firm based in Leeds is seeking a Commercial Disputes Resolution Associate to join their growing and successful team specializing in commercial disputes. The firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team is one of the largest outside London, operating nationally and internationally.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle both domestic and international disputes for UK and global companies and entrepreneurs, advising on complex and high-value disputes. This position is suitable for candidates ambitious for partnership within a leading commercial firm. The firm offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of partner-led teams, with opportunities to lead cases and advise clients on a broad range of commercial matters.
• Gain experience working with major clients across sectors such as banking, real estate, energy, food and drink, machinery, private equity, and retail.
• Develop expertise in specialist areas like reputation management, public procurement, confidentiality, fraud, asset tracing, pensions disputes, etc.
• Build collaborative relationships within the team and across the firm.
• Engage in advisory work to prevent disputes and handle the full spectrum of dispute resolution methods including litigation, arbitration, expert determination, adjudication, and mediation.

Requirements:

• Strong commercial litigation experience
• Approximately 3-5 years PQE
