Job Description:
The Commercial Licensing team serves as the hub for all branded uses of music on and by the platform. Working with teams across the organization, the Commercial Licensing org enables brands, institutions, and content publishers to engage with music in meaningful ways within the TikTok ecosystem and TikTok brands to champion music out in the world.
As the Commercial Licensing team scales to support brand initiatives across the TikTok suite of products, we are seeking a Manager of Commercial Licensing to oversee the development of services and innovation in Europe. The successful candidate will have deeply cultivated contacts throughout the music industry and a deep understanding of licensing and deal negotiation.
Responsibilities:
Execute strategies for large-scale, global licensing and partnership efforts, supporting the products, policies, and partnerships that enable the usage of music on our platforms by brands, advertisers, and monetized users.
Establish business terms with external partners and negotiate agreements including blanket licenses, production contracts, artist agreements, and media packages.
Forecast and analyze outcomes of key deals and iterate upon initiatives to continue refining programs and packages.
Establish and grow strong relationships with external partners in the licensing, advertising, and production communities.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in the licensing and partnership spaces with a deep understanding of the deal structures for advertising, branded content, and social platforms.
Highly organized, detail oriented, process master, capable of concepting, implementing, and maintaining large scale processes with cross-functional input.
Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills, particularly implemented in a cross-functional and global role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated understanding of territorial nuances and ability to execute for both local and global campaigns.
