Job summary

A legal services firm in Bristol is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its Head of Legal Services. You will provide legal advice and support, particularly in commercial contracts, litigations, and other areas of law. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of PQE experience and exceptional communication skills. Qualifications

• 2 - 5 years PQE in-house or from a recognised commercial law firm.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry is desirable.
• Understanding of data protection law is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with other departments on commercial contracts and projects.
• Be responsible for own matters from instruction to completion.
• Develop understanding of commercial property, litigation, IP, employment, and data protection law.

Skills

Commercial experience of drafting and negotiating contracts

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to handle conflicting priorities

Ability to make commercial decisions quickly
