Job summary

Pertemps Recruitment Partnership, on behalf of the London Borough of Harrow, seeks a Legal Assistant (Commercial) in Harrow. The role covers property, planning, regeneration, contracts and procurement within a specialist public-law team.

Hybrid, with office work and travel to client offices and courts. You will provide high‑quality legal advice and develop case management and client-facing skills in a public-sector environment.

Qualifications

• Qualify in law or be studying towards a recognised legal qualification.
• Experience in a legal environment may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Knowledge of English law, property, planning, regeneration, contracts or procurement.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial matters including property and procurement.
• Draft documents, pleadings and correspondence for lawyers and clients.
• Manage a significant caseload in line with Lexcel standards.
• Carry out legal research and keep clients informed of developments.
