Commercial Lead Professional Services ICT

The purpose of this role is to develop and lead a new corporate category team for Professional Services, including HR, Finance, Marketing, and ICT.

This role involves implementing a category-led approach to procurement, working closely with the market to understand supplier capabilities, and refining specifications with common characteristics to control costs and maximize value.

The postholder will be responsible for developing strategies, policies, assurance, governance, and commercial intelligence for the category, and delivering three-year plans aligned with legislation.

They will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, report to the Head of Commercial (Procurement), and oversee sourcing activities, supply chain management, and team development.

Qualifications & Experience required

• Fully qualified CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with public contract regulations since 2015 and knowledge of the Public Procurement Regulations 2023.
• Experience leading complex procurement projects and influencing stakeholders.
• Dynamic leadership skills, mentoring abilities, and experience supporting training programs.
