Job Title: Commercial Lead

We are recruiting for a Commercial Lead for a leading Public Sector commercial team in London. This role involves working across a generalist category portfolio.

This position is based in London, with an expectation to work on-site 2-3 days per week and remotely for the rest.

In this role you will be
  1. Ensuring effective commercial contract and supplier management.
  2. Providing strategic delivery and management within a category.
  3. Understanding relevant sourcing options and analysis, and delivering positive outcomes through the procurement process.
  4. Performing end-to-end strategic sourcing activities and serving as a subject matter expert.
  5. Providing a procurement service that delivers demonstrable value for money and compliant goods and service contracts as part of a team of procurement professionals on larger procurement activities.
  6. Managing supplier and stakeholder relationships effectively to deliver organizational benefits.
We are looking for individuals with
  1. Excellent understanding of sourcing and procurement methodologies, ideally within a regulated or public sector environment.
  2. Experience in developing, delivering, and implementing contract management plans, demonstrating commercial management and delivery at senior levels in complex and high-value environments.
  3. Evidence of developing effective supplier relationships and resolving issues in performance or supply variations without legal or contractual recourse.
  4. Evidence of inspirational and inclusive leadership, developing a professional culture, and building commercial capability. Ability to empower team members through coaching, mentoring, and sharing expertise/knowledge.

This post requires access to sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post, with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) if required after appointment.
