Overview

Commercial IP/IT Solicitor (3-7 years') – Edinburgh/Glasgow

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading Scottish Tech & Media team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, offering exposure to cutting-edge commercial, IP, IT and data protection work.

The Role

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including outsourcing, SaaS, licensing, collaboration and supply contracts
• Advise on IT projects, software development and data protection compliance
• Support clients on IP-related matters, including protection, licensing and technology transfer
• Work with colleagues on national and international projects, gaining exposure to significant transactions and high-profile clients
• Build client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives

About You

• 3-7 years\' PQE with experience in commercial contracts; IP/IT/data protection experience is an advantage
• Excellent drafting skills and ability to deliver practical, commercial advice
• Confident managing your own caseload and supporting on larger, complex deals
• Collaborative, proactive and comfortable working directly with clients
