Müller UK & Ireland invites applications for a 13‑month Commercial Executive Intern placement in Manchester. This 13‑month program offers hands‑on experience in commercial operations, working with major retailers, supporting projects, and delivering insights across sales, marketing and business development.

You will join the Commercial team, design and track initiatives, assist in forecasting and price administration, and collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualificações

• Currently enrolled university student seeking a year‑in‑industry placement.
• On track for a 2:1 or above.
• Eligible to work in the UK (not sponsoring as salary threshold applies).
• 13‑month placement with commercial exposure across sales, marketing and business development.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in designing, updating and supporting the Commercial Learning Hub.
• Conduct market and customer analysis to inform recommendations.
• Support embedding and execution of the Commercial Strategy and Proposition.
• Participate in project management and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Assist with forecast planning and price administration to ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver monthly reports and business reviews.
• Contribute to group projects with placement peers.

What Is Commercial

The Commercial Department drives business growth and profitability. Acting as the link between Müller and its customers, the team ensures our products are available, appealing, competitively priced, and strategically positioned in the market.

Key Areas Of Focus Include

• Customer Relationships: Building strong partnerships with our customers.


• Sales Strategy: Developing and executing plans to grow sales across channels and regions.


• Category Management: Understanding consumer trends and working with customers to optimise product ranges and shelf layouts.


• Forecasting & Planning: Collaborating with supply chain and finance teams to ensure accurate demand forecasting and stock availability.


• Market Analysis: Monitoring competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to inform decisions.

The Commercial team works cross-functionally with departments like agriculture, category and supply chain, tackling real-world business challenges and contributing directly to Müller’s performance.

Whatyou'llbe doing:

We’re looking for motivated and curious placement students to join our Commercial team as a Commercial Executive within Müller Milk & Ingredients (MMI). This 13-month placement offers hands‑on experience across all areas of commercial operations.

You’ll work with major retailers, support key projects, deliver insights, and contribute to Müller’s continued success as the UK’s leading fresh milk supplier. This is a great opportunity to build skills for a future career in sales, marketing or business development.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities Include

• Commercial Learning Hub: Assist in designing, updating, and supporting the Commercial Learning Hub to ensure best practice are shared across the team.


• Market Research & Analysis: Conduct store visits, monitor customer activity, read trade articles, and engage with key stakeholders to make recommendations based on insights.


• MMI Commercial Strategy: Support the embedding and execution of the MMI Commercial Strategy and Proposition across teams.


• Project Management: Take ownership of specific projects, ensuring timely delivery and execution of tasks.


• Forecast Planning: Support the team with accurate forecast planning, ensuring best availability for our customers.


• Price Administrations: Assist in managing and maintaining accurate price administration, ensuring data is up-to-date and compliant with customer agreements.


• Purchase Orders: Handle administrative tasks related to raising and tracking purchase orders to keep the supply chain running smoothly.


• Internal Reporting: Assist with the collation of reports for monthly business review cycles, ensuring all necessary data is available for decision-making.


• Business Planning: Support in executing business plans, including preparing for annual volume and project targets.


• Collaborative Group Projects: Work alongside other placement students on a group project, enhancing teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
