Commercial Insurance Broker / Handler – Bradford

Our client is a highly respected independent insurance brokerage based in Bradford. They are well known for having a very low staff turnover. They provide a fantastic benefits package and place a big emphasis on making sure that their employees are well looked after. They have continued to operate a flexible working environment with a nice balance of home and office working.

Due to some internal re-shuffling which has just been completed, they have created a brand new role within one of their commercial teams. This role involves dealing exclusively with commercial clients, mainly with annual premium spends of up to circa £20k, the majority of which you will handle independently, some in conjunction with an Account Executive.

You will be dealing with new enquiries, assisting with existing clients, making mid-term amendments and be fully involved in the renewal process, negotiating terms with insurers and taking risks to market. This role requires applicants to be professional and with excellent attention to detail. Our client is well known for focusing on providing a consistently high quality of customer service and is keen for all new staff to embrace this ethos.

Ideal applicants will have at least 12 to 24 months commercial insurance experience, preferably gained within a broking environment although we are open to applicants from underwriting backgrounds thinking of moving across into broking.

Progress towards ACII studies would be preferred and will be fully supported; also previous use of Acturis system would be beneficial although not essential (training can be provided).
