Job summary

Capio Recruitment Insurance is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join a Midlands-based broker in Loughborough. You will manage a range of commercial client relationships, renewals and policy documentation, and work closely with Account Executives and insurer partners to deliver top-tier service.

The role involves handling mid-market to corporate risks, negotiating with insurers, and contributing to a proactive, team-driven service culture.

Qualifications

• Experienced background in commercial insurance account handling.
• Confident handling commercial combined and mid-market/corporate risks.
• Experience dealing with open-market broking and insurer negotiation.
• Comfortable working with clients where premiums sit around the mid-market level.
• Strong communication skills with a client-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial client servicing activity and build trusted relationships.
• Handle renewals, MTAs, and policy documentation with timely delivery.
• Negotiate with insurers on open-market placements to secure terms.
• Support Account Executives on larger, more complex cases.
• Participate in a team-led service model with cross-functional collaboration.
• Identify client needs and service issues to maintain retention.
