Job summary

NRG Resourcing Limited invites applications for a Commercial Account Handler in Dorset, UK. You will be the daily contact for a portfolio of commercial clients, managing renewals, endorsements and mid-term changes while supporting claims and compliance.

You will work with senior colleagues in a focused commercial team, mainly Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with a salary of £40,000 depending on experience. CII qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial account handling within an insurance broker.
• Knowledge of commercial lines such as business combined, property, liability, construction and motor.
• Experience with renewals, remarketing and managing a client portfolio.
• CII qualifications, or willingness to work towards them, are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients as their day-to-day contact.
• Handle renewals, remarketing and quotations from the insurer panel.
• Process mid-term adjustments, endorsements and documentation accurately.
• Advise clients on suitable cover across business lines such as commercial property, liability and motor.
• Review client risk profiles and policy wordings, highlighting gaps and options.
• Support clients through the claims process with insurers.
• Build strong relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues.
• Maintain compliant client records in line with FCA requirements.

About the Company

Our client is a leading independent insurance brokerage in Dorset, formed through the merger of two well-established local firms with more than 40 years of combined heritage. Authorised and regulated by the FCA, they arrange tailored commercial, property and personal insurance, and are known for taking the time to understand each client's needs rather than working to someone else's targets. Their commercial team is looking to add a Commercial Account Handler.

About the Role

This is a dedicated commercial account handling role. You will manage a portfolio of business clients across a broad range of commercial lines, acting as their day-to-day point of contact from renewal through to mid-term changes and claims support. Working alongside senior account handlers and new business colleagues, you will help clients secure the right cover while keeping service levels, accuracy and compliance consistently high.

Responsibilities

• £40,000 basic salary, depending on experience
