Commercial Insights & Deals Analyst (Artist Services, Music)

Our client is seeking a Commercial Insights & Deals Analyst to join a team passionate about music contracts, project management & artist metadata. In this role, you will collaborate with the Business Strategy team to support the quality and integrity of commercial metadata in the client’s system. You will play a key part in managing the deals pipeline, artist onboarding to their in-house platform, and defining new processes for the business. Additionally, you will support the Legal team with the end-to-end contracts process.

Responsibilities

1. Work with the Business Strategy, Finance, and Legal teams
2. Maintain high integrity of artist and contract metadata through contract/database administration
3. Manage the pipeline of incoming deals from the music teams
4. Perform analysis & forecasting of deals
5. Lead contractual data input and validation in collaboration with legal and operations teams, ensuring data accuracy
6. Model and evaluate commercial deals, conducting analysis & forecasting aligned with commercial strategy & KPIs
7. Track timelines, deliverables, and execution to improve operational efficiency
8. Collaborate across teams, translating complex concepts for both technical and creative audiences
9. Contribute ideas to improve processes and workflows

Minimum Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on deadlines
• Solid understanding of music contracts & terminology
• Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a record label, music publisher, or DSP
• Familiarity with Airtable, Tableau, or Looker
• Experience with datasets related to royalties, licensing, or catalog performance
• 2–4 years’ experience in deal analysis or financial modeling in the music/media industry
• Understanding of recording royalties and neighboring rights income
• Experience bridging technical and creative stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• University degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Business, etc.)
