Job Title: Commercial Insights & Deals Analyst (Artist Services, Music)

Client Location: London - hybrid

Starting: June 2025

Salary/Pay Rate: £321.43 daily UMBRELLA only

Hours: Full-time; 40-hour week

Duration: 12 months

Our client is seeking a Commercial Insights & Deals Analyst to join a team passionate about music contracts, project management & artist metadata. In this role, you’ll work with the Business Strategy team to support the quality and integrity of commercial metadata in the client's system. You will play a key role in managing the deals pipeline, artist onboarding to their platform, and supporting the legal team with contracts.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the Business Strategy, Finance, and Legal teams
2. Maintain high integrity of artist and contract metadata through database administration
3. Manage the pipeline of incoming deals from music teams
4. Conduct analysis and forecasting of deals
5. Lead data input and validation processes, ensuring accuracy across systems
6. Model and evaluate commercial deals aligned with strategy and KPIs
7. Track timelines and deliverables to improve operational efficiency
8. Work with cross-functional teams, translating complex concepts effectively
9. Suggest process improvements and new features

Minimum Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with prioritization skills
• Ability to deliver quality work on time
• Good understanding of music contracts and terminology
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a record label, music publisher, or DSP
• Familiarity with Airtable, Tableau, or Looker
• Experience with datasets related to royalties and licensing
• 2–4 years’ experience in deal analysis or financial modeling in music/media
• Understanding of recording royalties and neighboring rights income
• Experience bridging technical and creative stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• University degree in a quantitative field
