Job summary

Primark is seeking an Insight Analyst to join its Applied Insights & Analytics team in the UK. You will transform data into actionable recommendations to support better business decisions across Trading, Buying & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, Finance and Customer teams.

The role requires commercially minded, data-driven thinking and the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights that inform business action.

Qualifications

• Experience as an analyst, insight, reporting or commercial analytics role in fast-paced environments.
• Strong SQL skills to query and interpret datasets for decision-making.
• Proficiency with Power BI/Tableau to create dashboards and insights.
• Commercial awareness with KPI understanding linked to sales, margin and operations.
• Ability to translate analysis into clear narratives for non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and deliver actionable insights.
• Experience improving reporting processes and delivering measurable value.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of insight and analytics from business questions through to recommendations.
• Partner with Business Partners to understand requirements and frame questions.
• Use SQL and tools to analyse data, identify trends and provide insights.
• Translate analytical outputs into clear narratives and visualisations.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards and reporting packs for stakeholders.
• Support commercial reviews and decision-making materials.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers and data scientists to improve reporting.
